Fred MacAuley in Conversation 4****

| On 06, Aug 2022

The Fringe Day can be long and hectic, flitting from venue to venue, never sure what one is going to see.

Well those clever folk at the Gilded Balloon have come up with a good option for a relaxed start, and a comfortable seat, to start off on the right foot.

Fred MacAuley is always a safe pair of hands whether he is doing his stand-up comedy or this in essence, having a blether with a couple of his mates for an hour of good chat, banter and reminiscing.

Fred opened up proceedings with a bit of crowd work to warm up the audience prior to introducing his first guest, Scot Squads very own Cameron Miekleson aka Jack Doherty. It was obvious that they knew each other well, the gags and jibes flowed freely in this relaxed atmosphere, as well as giving him a chance to promote his own play Nothing But, also at the Gilded Balloon at The Museum.

The second guest was Henry Naylor a sometime comedian and now a renowned author and playwright. It was an enthralling discussion between the three on and around Mr Naylor’s play Afghanistan is not Funny, being performed at Gilded Balloon Teviot.

The line-up of guests varies from day to day so of course it would be very possible to go more than once during its run.
