Sarah Keyworth: Lost Boy 5*****

| On 11, Aug 2022

Sarah Keyworth if a now familiar face on the in international comedy circuit . Her broadcasting career is also firming up. She has appeared on BBC2’s Live at the Apollo and Mock The Week, Comedy Central UK’s Roast Battle, ITV2’S Stand Up Sketch Show and performed stand-up on BBC Radio 4 institution ‘The Now Show’. Sarah wrote and performed her own series, ‘Are You A Boy Or A Girl’, for BBC Radio 4 and co-hosted hit relationship podcast ‘You’ll Do’ for BBC Sounds.

Having seen Sarah’s earliest shows I have seen her mature and grow as an artist . Her stagecraft is now more confident and precise, her use of the “pause” has been honed to a masterly level.

Sarah bounces on stage, it’s particularly hot, and she immediately deals with some issues regarding the placement of fans in the audience, real fans, electric fans that is ! She interacts in a very good-natured way, she’s telling us about an interesting experience in a church when suddenly her microphone cuts out, an audience member advises Sarah that this might be a God like intervention. She deals with this mild Heckle with great skill and timing, we are won over and the performance continues without further interruptions, we hear about relationship breakdown, a new relationship, a therapist and the passing of a close friend.

I definitely recommend catching Sarah’s show If you want to experience a different type of humor, dealing with sensitive issues in a curious yet thoughtful way .

If you do go make sure you stay until the end, (I know you will) where Sarah has a surprise for you. it’s good to keep your promises.
