Public The Musical is a very contemporary piece of musical theatre tackling very sensitive, thought provoking current issues. It also just so happens to have an amazing electrifying original score performed by a fabulous set of actors who are amazingly talented vocalists. What a treat!

This is an unlikely setting for such a full on, all singing, loosely choreographed, feast for the eyes and ears. Four unlikely strangers find themselves trapped inside a neutral gender public toilet. They have an hour to kill before maintenance is due to arrive to set them free. They may as well try to get to know each other, perhaps find some common ground. This it seems is unlikely. Many issues are touched upon; gender identity, social media, toxic masculinity, and opinions vary. Lessons are learned and our four main characters begin to see things through the eyes of others. It is thought provoking, emotional and very funny.

The amazing cast need to be recognised; newcomer Hugo Rolland as Finley, Annabel Marlow as Zo, Alicia Corrales as Laura and a special mention for Andrew Patrick-Walker whose vocal range is outstanding.

If you are looking for an hour of exceptional entertainment with music, laughs and drama performed by a super talented cast; look no further.
