The Extras Strike Back: A Musical Tribute to the Forgotten Heroes of Star Wars 4**** - One4Review

The Extras Strike Back: A Musical Tribute to the Forgotten Heroes of Star Wars 4****

| On 08, Aug 2023

For too long the supporting characters of Star Wars have been overshadowed by the popularity of the main characters in this epic Disney film. So Glenn Clarke, George Gehm and Stephen Quinn have decided enough is enough and through their hilarious musical cabaret they have given the lesser known characters centre stage.

There is clearly a very tight costume budget for this production, (sorry guys but I don’t think you would be admitted to any Star Wars convention in those outfits), which adds to the comedy of the show.

We start with Kevin who is very excited about his brand new job, finding his calling as the character Trashworm (our performer appears on stage with a plastic worm attached to his head). The cast then takes us through each of the Star War episodes. There is a love story of the Tusken Raider. A hilarious tale of the Imperial officer who loves it when Darth Vader gets angry and tries to choke him and goodness knows what he has in mind for Darth Vader’s lightsaber. I never really got to the bottom of who Roger, Roger is but it was a great song about how life was easier with him in it.

To be honest I am not a Star Wars expert but this did not curtail my enjoyment of the show.. It was a full house the night I went to see it and the audience loved it. A very funny, entertaining musical cabaret.
