Kirsten O’Brien & Ruth Bratt  –  Lesley’s Lunch Hour
CBBC’s Kirsten O’Brien and Kellog’s girl Ruth Bratt perform this lunchtime sketch show daily in the Pleasance Attic. I had first seen them work together in the 4 Queens Poker Club a couple of years ago doing stand-up, but of course this was something different, yet they still complement each other. We had a Christian work out, Trinnie & Susanna, horrific grandmas, elderly clowns, Destiny’s Child, clairvoyants to name just a few of their sketches. As with most shows of this type, some material work better than others. We don’t actually meet Lesley until the final sketch when she is auditioning for a yogurt commercial. Suffice to say I’ll never think Kirsten, or for than matter eating on the tube in the same way again. ***
