Comedy is the medium that has so many facets and styles  that it must be difficult to know how to be different given that there are so many comics out there.

However Bec Hill certainly has carved herself a niche with the amazing use she makes of animated flipcharts. That is not to say that this is only string to her bow this personably, slightly quirky Aussie has a whole mixture of material woven in throughout the set. Stopping off points include super heroes, hypochondria, a game show and her fear of flying, but I have to say the flipcharts did it for me everytime.

The audience in the show I saw were somewhat subdued and certainly didn’t give her a lot of opportunity to spark off but ever the true pro she soldiered through, even if some of her stuff didn’t get the reaction it deserved.

Ms Hill certainly has a potential to attract a wide range of ages to her shows and she deserves to be a bigger name, who knows maybe living up to her ‘intro man’s’ promotion of her and I for one would be happy to see that progression.
