Kevin Day is a veteran of many years on the comedy scene and has been at the top of his game for most of them. He is often found on the telly and is also a writer for many other TV programmes such as ‘Have I Got News For You’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’ as well as writing for several top comics. He is a safe pair of hands and a funny witty pair as well.

The room he performs in is just sooo hot maybe a bit of the energy is drained away, but Day is not a man who relies on strutting and posturing, he has more than enough in his material to fully sustain his allotted time.

He revisits last year’s show on the NHS, more of an update than a rehash obviously, he talks about his hair loss, Scottish politics, the Royal family, especially vocal about Prince Andrew, football, takes the mickey out of Jamie Redknapp, his Irish heritage and monkeys brewing beer! As the considerate comic he is Day will wait for a punchline to land, and there are plenty to do so in the show.

The day I attended the audience were somewhat subdued but there were quite a number who did go with him in what is a gag packed well-presented show.
