Liz Miele: Mind Over Melee 4**** - One4Review

Liz Miele: Mind Over Melee 4****

| On 14, Aug 2016

This may be New Yorker, Liz Miele’s Edinburgh Fringe debut but she is already a very accomplished comedian back home and her experience is obvious in her performance.
Her timing and delivery are excellent and she rattles out many great observations and anecdotes in her hour. Some of the material covered includes, the false image of relationships on social media, infinity scarfs, her and her sibling’s ill health, her parents, cats, her love life, her relationship with her therapist. Liz talks a bit about her previous experiences gigging around Europe including a recent, problematic, trip to Finland.
Once she has the audience comfortable and onside she covers some slightly edgier subjects, mental health, suicide, Hasidic Jews, the benefits of using a larger gene pool when planning to procreate and her views on having children.
Some topics might sound a bit heavy, they’re really not, this is a really funny and enjoyable show. Liz knows how to hold her audiences attention and has them laughing from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend seeing this show while you can and hopefully we’ll be seeing a lot more of Liz Miele over here in the future.
