To paraphrase Charles Dickens ‘It is the best of times, it is the worst of times’ if you are a political comedian and impersonator as Matt Forde is. There is so much going on in the world that the show will probably need almost a daily rewrite.
Matt Forde has built a reputation and along with it a huge following for his annual Edinburgh show where he covers, and pokes fun at, many of the major players, mixed together with a few of the higher profile lesser lights too.
Ford has his say on the Brexit referendum, and his uncanny impersonations of the likes of Cameron, Gove, Johnson, Farage, even wheeling out Gordon Brown. Close your eyes and they were there in the room.
And then of course there is the Labour party situation, Jeremy Corbin soft approach to PMQT, not at all like it was when Blair and Hague crossed swords
With all the events in the UK, the Presidential race gets only minor billing. I was hoping for much more on Trump but then there is only so much one can pack into an hour.
