Grimm's Fairer Tales 4**** - One4Review

Grimm’s Fairer Tales 4****

| On 17, Aug 2018

The Brothers Grimm collected their fairy stories over 200 years ago. I’m sure anyone with children (and hopefully those without) will be familiar with these stories, which include Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretel and Rumpelstiltskin. Because they were collected so long ago, this show reimagines the stories with a 21st Century twist.

What really makes this show wonderful though is that audience members volunteer to act out various parts. My six year old got to play the part of Little Red Riding Hood and the gold spinner in Rumpelstiltskin. The parts are not just for children though, the adults amongst the audience also play parts, with somewhat more hilarious outcomes.

I enjoyed this show just as much as my daughter. The storytelling was funny, engaging and entertaining. This is a great show for the whole family, regardless of age. Little ones will be able to follow the stories as they are so familiar, while bigger ones will get a chance to act out the parts. The 50 minutes flew by, and my little critic says its one of the best shows she’s been to.

A must see for anyone with children, especially those who enjoy performing!
