Sara Barron:- Enemies Closer 4****

| On 12, Aug 2019

It had not been the best day. Rain, shows running late even a fire alarm at the venue. What was required was an hour of top class comedy to make things better and that is exactly what I got.
American, but married to an English man, Sara Barron not only hit the ground running she was sprinting. Bold and confident she owned her audience from minute one, reacting and interacting with them, eliciting howls of laughter from all parties and had a whole raft of finely crafted laugh inducing material in her locker as well.
Sara classes herself as perceptive rather than bitchy, she spills the beans on her friends, or should that be frenemies, talks about the 7 year itch and what happens if ignored, her husband, a former flatmate who has gone on to be a success in TV until recently, someone she never liked and James Corden.
There is the premise that there are only two types of people in the world, heroes and c*ts, and audience members are invited to decide, the resulting answers usually adding to the laughter.
Ms Barron had a successful Fringe 2018 and I’m absolutely sure 2019 will be even better. Already sell-out shows are common place with her so you better be quick. You wouldn’t want to miss out.
