Michelle Wolf So Brave 4**** - One4Review
one4review | On 15, Aug 2016
One of the top 10 comics in New York City according to Time Out Magazine, Michelle Wolf, making her Edinburgh Fringe debut, is justifiably causing a groundswell of interest in the city.
As a writer for The Daily Show it is no surprise that a tidy chunk of her hour is about the political situation in her homeland and Ms Wolf is almost as scathing about Hilary as she is about Trump, before shading her preference to the former, and there is a lovely image created of the new First Gentleman and his duties.
In spite of the PC brigade she hates everyone being either’ beautiful or brave’, what about the others, the ones that make things happen? She is feminist in her outlook but reckons on there being too many types and that woman may not know what they want.
Woof is a sports fan, has thoughts on obesity, marriage, blankets and her finale is a very good closer.
All in all a very good show from the confident Ms Wolf. She has the charisma and stage presence to hold the audience in the palm of her hand throughout her hour. It is easy to see why she is so highly rated.
