Bec Hill has been doing shows at the Fringe for years now and is highly regarded both in the industry and with the public at large. But she says she is usually a scripted comic, not this year she aint.
On entering the room, having been handed a plastic ball, on stage there is a large board with twenty five coloured post-it notes on which are written subjects. She explains some of these are jokes, some anecdotes some whatever and the audience call out which is next, thus forcing her to ad-lib the links and of course she is excellent at that too.
It is a really nice and funny show delivered by a lady on top of her game. But of course it is Bec. And what does she do oh so well? Her flip-charts that she has created and for me anyway are her piece de resistance. Not only one, hell no, we had three.
There is a joyful atmosphere throughout proceedings as this smiley Aussie appears to be enjoying it as much as the audience was.
If you haven’t even seen her perform take this opportunity while you can. She is normally found on the sold-out board so don’t miss your chance.
