Tom Lucy Needs to Stop Showing Off In Front of His Friends 5*****

| On 17, Aug 2017

Tom Lucy, at the ripe old age of twenty one, has already won a number of awards including the Comedy Store King Gong aged just nineteen. He has a masterful command of the stage and the audience’s attention. He is one of the youngest professional stand ups in the country.

His style, as he freely admits, is camp. A straight camp man in a Jack Whitehall sort of way. His topics are topics that are close to a young man’s heart; growing up, dating, oh and . . gout. He is very young man with a surprisingly old man’s ailment we are told. He tells us about the problems that go along with growing up and being a teenage boy with a “fit” mum.

He is very well equipped to handle the audience interaction that he invites. Late comers are picked on; the lady with the big hair is asked how long she has had that hairstyle? Since the eighties perhaps, he enquires. An older man in the audience is continually ribbed and referred to. Has he had his prostate checked out? Oh you really should . . .

Tom Lucy is a young man with a big talent and a big future.
