Lost Voice Guy: Cerebral LOLsy 4**** - One4Review

Lost Voice Guy: Cerebral LOLsy 4****

| On 16, Aug 2022

Lee Ridley is The Lost Voice Guy and you will know him from winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2018. His disability doesn’t stop him from being incredibly funny and via the use of a communication aid and an I-pad he delivers a very entertaining show.

Although he doesn’t like the recognition of being “inspirational to others”, that’s clearly what he is. He gets away with a lot of content that other comedians wouldn’t, by poking fun at disability. He’s maybe not a Paralympian, however he does highlight the need for people with disabilities to be treated equally, with respect and to be included in part of society. He tells us that “every disabled child should be able to realise their dreams”, which is a poignant part of the show and makes us aware of how complicated our benefits system is when claiming any kind of disability allowance.

He’s happy to take pot shots at a number of people in the public eye throughout his act and he covers a wide range of content. He can’t sing, he’s not very good at dating and gets embarrassed by his mum and this makes him even more endearing to us. He’s got a wicked sense of humour which fortunately he’s able to convey by using technology.

Although his Blue Badge may get him closer to the door at Tesco, accessibility is only one of the issues he takes to task on behalf of the disabled community.

For someone who can’t speak, Lost Voice Guy has plenty to say and it’s really funny!
