Rhys James – Forgives 4**** - One4Review

Rhys James – Forgives 4****

| On 19, Aug 2016

Rhys James is 25 he says despite looking much younger. Firmly a child of the 90’s James is a comic with a lot to say on his life and the situation he finds himself in due to the decisions made by his parents’ generation.
He goes on to deliver an hour of solid comedy to his so called Jive Cabin, he has jokes, he has observational stuff, call-backs even poetry as he relates attitudes and behavioural traits of him and his generation. The prankster that he is expounds on social media, Brexit, shower heads his girlfriend and her parrot. His section on veganism and Pandas was particularly well received by his crowd on the day I attended.
Rhys adds to the funnies with a bit of beat poetry and a couple of letters, one written to himself as an even younger version and another to his future self and this certainly adds a different texture to his performance.
James has been seen on TV a few times, and I firmly expect to see him much more in the future. His star is definitely rising, so he will soon have to swap his Jive cabin for a much grander affair.
