Matt Forde:- Brexit Pursued by a Bear 4.5 **** - One4Review

For many years now TV and radio political funny man has been stunning his audiences at Edinburgh Fringe with his no nonsense style of satire pointing out the events, flaws and foibles of a whole raft of British and overseas politicians and players.
With the state of the nation, in fact the world, currently, Forde has sooo much scope and potential material, to draw from it must be overwhelming at times, and with the quickly changing nature of the beast he must spend every waking hour updating his material to use his biting comments and thoughts, not to mention a well- known talent of mimicry to ridicule the chief offenders.
Although a onetime advisor to the Labour Party, Forde shows no political bias, he calls it how he sees it and there is almost as much directed at Corbyn as there is for whoever is in the Cabinet this week, not forgetting Farage and Trump, if only we could.
The show is a hilarious mixture of laughter and despair as to where the world is at and what is the future? Are we really all screwed as he opens with?
Given the that current, and possible future, incumbents have been making such a mess of it, perhaps given his insight, common sense and likability, perhaps he should be up for the new PM? Only one problem with that though, should he succeed them who would be available to lampoon him in Fringe 2020?
